Question: What do you wonder about?

Answer: I wonder about boys and girls.

I know there's some things boys can do that girls can't, and that's ok.

Boys can have jobs and say swear words and pretty much do whatever they want.

Boys are better, and that's why Jesus was a boy.

My mom told me that.

Girls, she said, are good for cooking and gardening and being really nice.

I'm good at gardening and being nice, and one day I'll be good at cooking, too.

But sometimes I wonder... what if God and Mary had had a baby girl, instead of a baby boy?

I asked my mom about this one time... what if there was a little girl in the manger, Jesus-anna?

My mom's face turned white like a ghost.

I thought she was gonna throw up.

She said I better march outside right now and bury that thought in the ground and never think it again. She said if I thought it again I'd be a hethan and if I worshipped a lady God I'd be a lesbian.

I said, "Mom, what's a Hethan? What's a Lesbian?"

She just got even whiter than before.

She said, "Those are dirty questions, young lady, bury them in the ground!"

So, I got out a shovel and I buried all my thoughts in the ground. I buried them in a part of the yard I call my "garden full of bad thoughts and dirty questions."

I water it every day.



One day, the answers are gonna grow.

One day, God is gonna come back to the earth and I know he's gonna find a nice lady to be with and they're gonna have a girl baby this time.

Also, I think she's gonna be Chinese.



I don't know why, it's just a feeling I have.
