Well, five years into marriage, I realize this: About half the names of the American language end with this same sound - "eeeee" - and there ain't no magic to "Frankie an' Nanci."
Well, not everyone said we should be together, anyway. A few people said other things, like, "he's old enough to be your uncle." "He's an alcoholic." "He don't clean his yard up - and a man who don't look after his land ain't gonna look after his wife, neither."
They were right.
